I SAW LIKE FIVE SONGS OF BLONDE REDHEAD LAST NIGHT – DO YOU GUYS THINK I CAN BE FRIENDS WITH THEM?

Man there were an @$$-load of shows last night in New York.

Prior to heading down to Pianos for Hooray For Earth’s November Residency, I stopped in at Webster Hall to catch a few songs of Blonde Redhead.  While waiting in line I realized that TRAP THEM was on in the Webster Hall Studio opening for EVERY TIME I DIE.  Mebbe go to that?  Nah.  I got tixx to see my BH homiez.  That show probably kicked hella ass.  Onwards.  So I head in to the main space see the setup pictured above and get stoked.  Band goes.  I melt in the awesomeness.  As I picked my jaw up off the floor I noticed a few things. They are STILL really good

  1. The new record is really good (YES WE KNOW MISERY IS A BUTTERFLY IS REALLY GOOD TOO)
  2. Older crowds are wonderful – NO FUCKING CAMERA PHONES

Do you guys think Amedeo would think I'm cool?

Anyone have an extra ticket for tonight’s Webster Hall show?  It’s sold out.  :(  I

Never heard of ‘em?  That’s your  fault.  They just put up a spectacular 4AD session (highlighting tracks from their admittedly downtempo and electronic new album PENNY SPARKLE).  Perfect for a cold rainy day… like today.  STREAM IT HERE
